I’ve become a hoarder of jars. We always recycle our food jars and store pantry items in them such as lentils, rice and spices but our cupboard is over flowing with empty jars now.
So much so that The Chef yelled ‘Stop hoarding jarssssss!’ at me when he realised that the cupboard was being over taken by them.
I had come across the gorgeous washi tape and purchased it with no idea in mind as to what to do with it. I just knew it was cute.
So, today I had a lightbulb moment. Whack some washi tape on the jars! this is a paper tape that is slightly see through. .
What you need:
- Washi tape. You can buy at craft stores and homeware stores and online here from Notemaker.
- Start from the bottom of the jar and run the tape in a straight line up and over the lip of the jar.
- Keep going around the jar.
- Once complete. Run a single piece around the outside of the top lip of the jar to make it look lovely.
Use as a vase
A pot for your succulents
A jar for nick nacks, pencils, makeup
A votive holder. Place a tea light inside for a gorgeous soft glow
