The supplement and ‘health food’ industry like to make you worry. Worry that you aren’t lean enough, aren’t well enough, aren’t boosting your immune system enough, aren’t making your hair shiny enough, aren’t detoxing enough, aren’t relaxed enough.
They do this with their clever shiny adds and food packaging.
What if you switched off from the net, and didn’t walk past chemists and supermarkets selling these products? What if you didn’t see their swanky advertisements claiming that you might be holding ‘toxins’ and need to get rid of them? Or, their shiny add for the vitamin to make your hair shine?
How would YOU FEEL?
Would you feel well and happy?
If you were in a remote African jungle and had never heard of these detoxing liver tablets for example, would you be sitting there under a tree thinking “I really must get me some liver cleansing tablets, I feel toxic?” Or, “I think my hair is lacking shine?”
Probably not. You’d probably feel fine.
It’s easy enough to blame external factors on making ourselves feel toxic and unwell, like pollution, the foods we eat, sugar, grains, the cleaning chemicals we use, the list goes on. But sometimes we are our own worst enemy and our susceptibility to be influenced by marketing messages, and the resulting worrying thoughts are what is toxic and making us feel (unnecessarily) unwell.
Try and get in tune with your own body without having marketing tell you how you feel.
And tell the expensive packets of raw-activated-whatever-in-a-packet, and multi-billion dollar supplement industry, to kiss your a$$.
