The Nutrition Guru and The Chef are a husband and wife team who share an innate passion for food, eating, cooking, health and nutrition. A university qualified Nutritionist, the Nutrition Guru is often found cooking at midnight with slippers on and enjoys making people’s bellies happy with healthy treats. She has a passion for busting diet myths and showing people simple and effective ways to live a healthy and happy life by eating whole foods.
Having worked in a number of well-known restaurants in Australia, The Chef is experienced in a number of different cuisines, his specialty being Japanese. When The Chef isn’t cooking, you can catch him on his surf board at the local beach.
What is your food and health philosophy?
Our food and health philosophy is simple. We believe food is our medicine and that ‘we are what we eat’.
We DO NOT believe in denying, restricting, or removing foods or food group from the diet or following health fads. Rather, we follow the ‘everything in moderation’ rule and allow ourselves a small treat such as a sweetie every now and again as part of a healthy relationship with food.
Together we aim to inspire people to try new ingredients, to live a healthy life, provide readers with exciting new recipes, share our cooking secrets and provide up to date credible nutrition information.
