Who We Are and Our Food Philosophy

We are a husband and wife team who share an innate passion for food, eating, cooking, health and nutrition.

Jeff (the chef) has been cooking up a storm for almost 20 years working for award winning establishments throughout his career, and is now the head chef of the kitchen at the award winning and well known ‘Wasabi’ Restaurant in Noosa.

Tara (the Nutrition Guru) is a University qualified Nutritionist. After being a dancer, a pistol shooter and a personal trainer, she now is following her passion in the nutrition industry in helping people live a healthy and happy life through diet and nutrition.

Our food and health philosophy is simple. We believe food is our medicine and that ‘we are what we eat’. We make mindful choices every day to eat fruit, vegetables, wholegrains, lean meats, dairy, spices and herbs in order to live the healthiest, happiest life we can.

We DO NOT believe in denying, restricting, or removing foods or food group from the diet or following health fads. Rather, we follow the ‘everything in moderation’ rule and allow ourselves a small treat such as a sweetie every now and again as part of a healthy relationship with food.

We aim to inspire people to try new ingredients, to live a healthy life, provide our readers with new recipes, share our cooking secrets and provide up to date credible nutrition information.

All photo’s you see are are own, taken by the Nutrition Guru of our actual dishes that we cook and all recipes are devised by us.
